Commissioned by Byrd Out – the Cheltenham-based creative and booking agency – we developed the identity for the Lansdown Blockparty for Open Door, a one-day festival set for October 2025.
Bringing together local venues, artists and businesses, the event raises vital funds for Cheltenham Open Door, which supports vulnerable and disadvantaged people.
The challenge: A brand-new fundraiser, staged across an industrial estate, we wanted the identity to feel authentic to its environment, while also attracting a broad audience and creating opportunities for sponsor visibility.
Our response drew directly from the environment. A pixelated ‘LB’ monogram captures the bold, functional character of the estate, while hand-sprayed stencil textures introduce a raw, analogue edge.
The result is an identity that makes the event instantly recognisable, amplifies its reach across channels, and offers partners a strong, authentic alignment with both community spirit and cultural energy. With Deya Brewery, Ritual Roasters, D’Arcy Wine and The Steam and Whistle fuelling a day of live acts and DJs, the Blockparty will be a celebration of music, place and purpose.
Digitised and expanded into a flexible suite of assets, the system gave the Blockparty a distinctive yet scalable design language – adaptable across posters, social media, and promotional collateral.
We’re proud to contribute our creativity to a project that not only brings people together but also supports the charity Cheltenham Open Door.
