Clear Your Head… AB PV at Outline Editions.

‘Clear Your Head Every Day’, a new exhibition by the very lovely Anthony Burrillgot off to a fine start with the private view at Outline Editions on Berwick Street last night.

His signature approach – thought provoking, upbeat, simple and bold text based prints – continues in this show which also features fabric hangings, furniture and spray stencil prints made in collaboration with Michael Marriott and Wilfrid Wood.

AB says “Everything shown is based around a theme of positivity and as the title suggests, is about an antidote to stressful, city life”.

Some eclectic and suitably upbeat tunes (75% on vinyl) were spun at last night’s PV by Form’s own Paul West who reliably informs me that the tracks from last night’s set which received most reaction were “NY is killing me” – the Jamie XX remix of the late Gil Scott Heron (a firm Form studio favourite) and from the old school – “Feel My Sunshine” by Len.

Anthony will also be hosting a free graphic art workshop http://www.outline-editions.co.uk/workshops  in the gallery on Saturday 11th June 10:30am – 5:00pm.
I asked Anthony what the workshop involved to which he replied in his smashing soft northern accent – “mainly cutting and sticking”! “Would that be Pritt stick, Uhu, or spraymount” I asked. “No spraymount” he replied, “we don’t want white hairy arms……”. Either way, I am sure it will be fun. You can reserve a mail place: info@outline-editions.co.uk.

Anthony is a fine example of how staying focused on what you love reaps rewards…

The show runs until 16th July at Outline Edition, 94 Berwick Street, London W1F 0QF.
Opening times; Tuesday – Saturday, 12pm – 6.30pm.
